WVSL Solutions, formerly West Virginia Sober Living, recently received a $1000 contribution from the Encova Foundation of West Virginia.
The Encova Foundation’s website states that their focus is “on improving communities and families, promoting education and encouraging wellness.”
WVSL Solutions operates three sober living homes in Morgantown and three in Charleston. This contribution will be used to benefit the children of participants within the WVSL Solutions Women and Children’s Housing program.
“Embedded in our focus is a commitment to helping children succeed, improving our communities and supporting industry initiatives,” states the Encova Foundation
“This funding will provide crucial support for the children living in our home along with their mothers,” says Krista White, Director of Recovery Housing at WVSL Solutions. The funding will be used for items such as baby swings, booster seats, outdoor toys, school supplies and books. “These items will help make their stay as comfortable as possible and to support the children along with their mothers as they work to break cycles of substance use disorder.”
