Above: A group of housing program participants gather around a holiday meal.
As a new year begins, we reflect on all the amazing things we’ve achieved together and give a big, heartfelt thank you to you! You’ve been a huge part of our success and we couldn’t have done it without you.
We’re especially proud of what we’ve achieved in 2025.
By The Numbers

These numbers represent people and families across the communities we serve. These numbers are a testament not just to the need in our state, but also to the dedication of our small team. With 250-249 working days in a standard business year (261 – 11 federal holidays), this means our team had roughly 59 sessions and onboarded ~ 7.26 new and unique community members a day. Our numbers can’t tell the story of families given a chance to heal, of individual potential and hope restored, or of the everyday human factor of letting someone be seen and heard. The impact of our peer and admin team cannot be understated, as both are exceptionally talented and valuable.

Peers Out and About

In October, Jason set up at the City of Summersville Homeless Commission resource fair, sharing information on our programs as well as providing peer support and a listening ear to anyone in need.

Amanda and Teisha joined other local organizations in October at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Morgantown, WV health fair, bringing your expertise and valuable resources to this community event.

Ruth and Liz attended the Family & Community Engagement Implementation Team Onboarding hosted by WESTSIDE Together . They discussed community engagement and all the amazing ways that peer recovery can further benefit the community.

Here’s a snapshot of Regina and Ashley C bringing some holiday cheer to the Jolly Jamboree in December hosted by Covenant House.

In December, Travis attended the Police, Treatment, and Community Collaborative 2025 International Deflection and Pre-Arrest Diversion Summit where he had the opportunity to share & learn from other deflection programs.
Housing
In 2025 we served 127 individuals through our recovery housing program. Numbers, however, are only part of the story.
The holiday season is always a special time for our housing program. Between pumpkin carving contests, Thanksgiving feasts, and celebrating the season of giving with gifts under the tree, everyone is busy spending time together and sharing in the hope of brighter days ahead.

Thank you to Community Bridge for your generous donation of gifts for participants and their children. We’d also like to thank Chestnut Ridge Church and Heart and Hand for donating Thanksgiving meals for our participants.

An Award Winning Team

Two of our peers were selected as award winners by their communities for their hard work, compassion, and dedication. Congratulations to Ashley McElwee for being selected as a WESTSIDE Together “Best of the West” award winner and to Markie Jeffries who was chosen as one of the Extra Mile Heroes by the City of Elkins!

We are also proud to be recognized as an Early Innovator by Moodr Health
“Innovation in healthcare doesn’t just happen in boardrooms. It happens on the frontlines, where dedicated teams are doing more with less and reimagining how care can and should be delivered.”
